Introduction

While I was working on this drawing, I often wondered what this little girl was thinking about her situation.  I think the little pouty mouth with the full cheeks adds to her concentration.

Welcome to my site; and thank you for taking a moment to look around at some of the pictures I have completed.  When I work on a drawing, I like to make it look as real as possible.  I have found using a 2B pencil, a blending tool (stump), an eraser, and carbon (to get the darker shades) enable me to get the results I want.  After I have finished one, I like to show it around and listen to what the people have to say.  Usually, I find everyone is drawn to various parts of the finished product, and it is amazing as to why they like a certain part of it.  Anyway, enough of that...you stopped in to look so I had better let you get to it.  I hope you enjoy them.

Some of the people who saw this engagement drawing after it was finished said it gave them the urge to reach out and ruffle this guy's hair.

Ooopps!!  Look again.  Everyone thinks this is a drawing of a dog, but it is a cat.  The cat's owner said it was difficult to get a picture of her because she's very active.  Don't you just love cats--you can't ever predict their outcome.

While I was working on this, I couldn't help but be drawn to the eyes of this little girl.  There was such life in her picture it was difficult to focus and work on other parts of the drawing.  She certainly stole the show.
